Adding text to a 3D model can be tricky as not all fonts and sizes will be readable by the slicer.
Here are some tips if you want to add text to your 3D model:
- Use sans serif fonts such as Arial, Montserrat or Helvetica as the strokes have a consistent thickness.
- Resize the text so that all strokes have a stroke thickness of at least the minimum recommended wall thickness.
Embossing or engraving the text, with the recommended depth is the same as the nozzle diameter.
It isn't about the size of the text, but about the stroke thickness. You can add very small text using a bold sans serif font, but you will need larger text if you want to use a script font.
